My First Experience with LCCT [19/3/2011]

During my younger days, I always feel attached with my extended family of my Mom's side. I remembered staying over at my grandparents' house with my brother over the holidays. I was the oldest grandchild, and that time only have my brother (Alvin) and me, as well as my cousin sister (Ching) and her brother (Yan). So imagine, I was being surrounded with lots and lot and LOTS of love. I love them a lot too. I remember crying each year when my family departs for home after CNY visiting (and my Dad will hates me cause I never cry for his side of family XD).

Over the years, the journey back to Penang has become infrequent (all Dad's fault), and if you know me, you might know what happened. Soon, we were growing distances but still, I misses dearly people in Penang.

It must be crazy when Mom announced that she wanted to go back for ONE DAY VISIT. Yeah, you hear right, one day visit. We never visit the island for one day (normally 3 days minimum). Well, thanks to AirAsia, now everyone can fly! =) I was super duper excited to take the plane again, this time for domestic flight. And it was my first time with AirAsia, number one low cost carrier in Asia. Too bad, no luck bumping into Mr. Tony Fernandes.

Excited to see AirAsia ^o^...

Saying goodbye to Kuala Lumpur...

Excited to board the plane. I didn't board this way (outside) when I took MAS to/from Korea.

No space, no services, no TV, no food, no business class. That's what define LCC.

Mummy!

I was really really excited to travel with Mummy (first time, kay!). And we're really worried about my brother and my sister alone at home. Anyway, we depart at 1.30pm and come back with 11.50pm flight.

Hip-hop fashion for that day ^o^....(Cap: Yong Tai, Shirt: Voir, Tee: Namdaemun Korea)

2-way ticket costs RM220 per pax.

Upon reaching the island, we're so excited to reunite with my Mom's family. A lot of good food, especially my aunt's cooking. My grandma, she's getting really old. I remembered the times where she used to carry me up the stairs (although I always refused cause I'm afraid I'm just to heavy for her). And the times, she let me play around the kitchen when she's cooking. The times she used to call my name, although she stutter a lot. I remembered she used to have a rock-like pillow, which I hated a lot. I remember her bed covered with mosquito net. Her room faced with a tennis court, that's why she picked up a lot of tennis ball dropped around the house (and I think I brought back some home). Most of the memories actually disappeared and thinking one by one back, I was really a happy child. I think it was Nov/Dec holidays after my Standard 1.

Things changed so much now. Grandma hardly speaks a word. She can't even call my name. I don't know if she stills remembers me. I feel aliened. I feel weird and I wish things were just back like it was.

Cuzzie's family dog.

My Mom with Aunty and youngest cuzzie.

She's so cuteeeee...

Before departing back home....

Cuzzie (Ching)....Probably my one and only closest cousin.
